We want to hear your story.
This is a site where people can document and share with others their personal experiences with low carbohydrate diets in the management of diabetes.
We are concerned with poor appreciation of the benefits of low carbohydrate diets but primarily we are seeking data and would appreciate hearing your experience, whether good or bad.
Your story can be long or short, detailed or an overview. Below are some questions that may help get you started.
- Can people with diabetes stay on a low-carbohydrate diet? Nutrition organisations and experts say no. What has been your experience?
- Do people benefit from a low-carbohydrate diet? Experts say that only calories count. What do you say?
- Experts say that a diabetes educator or dietitian will give you good advice on dietary management of diabetes. What has been your experience?
- In your experience, how does a low carbohydrate diet compare to other diets you have tried?
Thank you for your participation.
The project is being run by Richard David Feinman, Professor of Cell Biology at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. Other participants include Jennifer Elliott and Paula Nedved.
